Audi quattro Cup Kuwait winners to play in World Final

Audi quattro Cup Kuwait winning duo Kevin Stockton and James Fiddy will be playing in Austria for the World Final of the Audi quattro Cup in September

Kuwait, September, 2018 – In April, 42 teams took part in the annual Audi quattro Cup golf tournament at Sahara Golf Club, Kuwait, which is the most anticipated amateur golf tournament worldwide that takes place every year. The year 2018 marks the eleventh year running of the Audi quattro Cup in Kuwait, organized by Audi Kuwait, represented by Fouad Alghanim & Sons Automotive.

During Audi quattro Cup Kuwait, the leading three teams all scored 42 stableford points, with Kevin Stockton and James Fiddy winning on a countback to take the first place position and coveted prize of a secured place in the World Final that will take place in Austria.

Dr. Amar Alnaqi and Farhan Alshimmari finished second, with Ho Suk Seo and Young Min Park collecting third place.

The winning duo of Audi quattro Cup Kuwait will be competing from teams around the world at the Schwarzsee Golf Club in Kitzbühel, Austria from 23-27 September 2018.

The Audi quattro Cup is currently in its 28th iteration and is considered to be one of the biggest amateur golf competitions worldwide. There are over 100,000 players that compete on teams composed of two players each, all of which take part in more than 800 competitions around the world from 50 different countries.

During Audi quattro Cup, teams composed of two players are required to hit the ball from one hole to another, after which the best shot is selected and the teams switched over roles of hitting the ball, until the ball lands in a hole. The ‘Stableford’ system is used to register the points scored for each team, with the team scoring the highest points claiming the victory of the competition. Winners of local competitions are then invited to participate in the world finals.
